How do I get started?

At CrossFit South County we offer three different methods of getting you ready to reach your goals through a safe and effective approach. The specific method you’ll use to get started will be determined based on your current fitness levels combined with your personal goals. Our two methods of coming on board into group classes are as follows:

Personal Training


With this method, you will one-on-on with your trainer to build your general fitness base and gain familiarity with CrossFit movements.  You will find the greatest success with personal training if your needs or goals include:

  • weight loss and improved body composition
  • you have generally been sedentary
  • you are new to exercise
  • you are referred to us by a physician, physical therapist or chiropractor
  • you have specific performance oriented goals (triathlon, football, speed strength)
  • you have significant health or orthopedic issues
  • extra accountability

Your trainer will tailor workouts specifically for your current fitness level and goals.  Following your personal training sessions you may then choose to continue with private training or progress into our on-ramp program.

10 Session smart pack

The 10 session smart pack is your personal CrossFit Essentials course. You learn all the CrossFit movements, standards, safety, receive a nutrition plan and schedule sessions at your convenience. Each session starts with a recap of a previous skill learned, followed by a new skill learned while finally finishing with a custom CrossFit workout directed towards your individual goals.


6 Session Fast Track

The 6 session fast track is for individuals who are in great heath and currently working out with weights and conditioning. These 6 sessions are broken down 3 main components of CrossFit and taught in-depth to each student. They move at a faster pace and progression than the "Essentials course" or "Smart Pack training sessions." you will be ready for regular level group classes in as short as 2 weeks for those who qualify to for the 6 session fast track.

CrossFit Essentials program.

CrossFit Essentials is for those new to CrossFit training with no significant health problems. This 4-week course will introduce you along with other new CrossFitter’s to the fundamental elements of CrossFit training. This course includes coaching, nutrition for fitness, functional movements, introduction to intensity, progression steps, online tracking of workouts, Zone diet 101, goal setting/achieving and will prepare anyone for regular CrossFit training in group classes!

This 4 week course is the most effective and economical way of joining our group classes and putting your goals in the shortest possible time frame . This course takes commitment on your part to attend each session, 3 days a week. You will be joined by fellow new CrossFitter’s in a continuous progression forward. Each session consists of Warm-up, recap of skills learned, new skill learned, a CrossFit workout followed by a cool down and general health knowledge.

* Once you have registered, an email will be sent to you with in 24 hours to set up a complementary Baseline assessment. This will allow our couching staff to understand your current fitness level and properly address any situations before participating in the essentials program.
Can I just come into group classes?
No, our group classes are a continuous progression built on the foundation you’ve created through Personal training or CrossFit essentials. Each individual in every group class has a thorough understanding of CrossFit movements and concepts as well as their own current fitness level. This educated self-awareness allows the forward progression of everyone at a significantly faster and safer pace. By entering our program through any one of our three methods you, too will be prepared to step into any class with the knowledge and skills to succeed.”
